Section 2. Call to Worship
Scripture Focus
Let’s take a moment to center our hearts and minds on God. Today’s Call to Worship comes from the Great Commission—Matthew 28:16-20. Jesus gave us a charge that reminds us why we gather, why we worship, and why we go into the world with love.
“Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’”
Let’s worship our Savior who calls us, equips us, and promises to walk with us every step of the way.
Section 3. Opening Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for bringing us together this morning as one body, one family, united in Your love. We come with open hearts—some filled with joy, others burdened with worries—but all of us needing Your presence. Today, as we lift our voices, open Your Word, and listen for Your Spirit, may we be reminded of Your mission for our lives. Help us to know that You are with us always, and give us boldness to follow where You lead.
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Section 4. Praise and Worship
Worship Together
Now let’s rise—if you’re able—and join our worship team in singing praises to the One who gives life, purpose, and joy! Whether you sing with a booming voice or a quiet heart, your praise is beautiful to God.
• “Here I Am to Worship”
• “How Great Is Our God”
• “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus”
Let’s lift our hearts in adoration and let the joy of the Lord be our strength today.
Section 5. Scripture Reading
Introduction
This morning, we are focusing on one of the most important instructions Jesus ever gave us. Often called “The Great Commission,” it’s found in Matthew 28:16-20. This moment happened after Jesus rose from the dead and met with His disciples on a mountain in Galilee. What He said then still echoes in the heart of every believer today.
The Events
After everything they had seen—His miracles, His suffering, His resurrection—the disciples met Jesus in obedience. Some came with doubts, some with praise, but Jesus welcomed them all. And instead of condemnation, He gave them a purpose. A mission. He gave us the reason why the Church exists.
Scripture – Matthew 28:16-20 (NIV)
16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.
17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Section 6. Pastoral Prayer or Intercessory Prayer
Intercessory Prayer
Lord Jesus,
You’ve given us a mission that is greater than ourselves—to go and make disciples. We pray today for courage. Courage to speak truth in love, to serve with humility, and to teach with grace. We lift up our missionaries around the world, our local outreach teams, and every believer who is answering the call. May Your presence empower and protect them. May we, as a church, be faithful to our part in the story You’re writing.
Congregational Response Prayer
Heavenly Father,
We hear Your command.
We accept Your mission.
We trust in Your promise.
And surely You are with us always, to the very end of the age. Amen.
Section 7. Offering
Giving as Worship
Friends, as we enter this time of giving, let’s remember that our tithes and offerings are more than financial transactions—they’re acts of worship. They are reflections of our gratitude and trust in God’s provision. Every dollar given fuels ministry, feeds families, and furthers the mission Jesus gave us.
Prayer of Thanks
Gracious God,
Thank You for Your generosity in our lives. We bring these tithes and offerings not out of obligation but out of joy. Use them, Lord, to build Your Kingdom, bless our community, and bring the good news to those who need it most. May our giving today be a pleasing offering to You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Section 8. Special Music
Introduction to Special Music
Today, we gather to embrace the power of music in worship. Special music touches our hearts in profound ways, offering a unique opportunity to reflect, rejoice, and prepare our spirits for the message ahead. Let’s open our hearts and minds as we enjoy the melodies that draw us closer to God’s presence.

“Unlock the Secret: How the Great Commission Can Transform Your Faith Journey”
The Story
Imagine a small, bustling town, filled with families and individuals going about their daily lives. Among them, a young pastor named Mark felt an unshakeable call in his heart. He had been meticulously studying Matthew 28:16-20, the Great Commission, and sensed something stirring within him. The townsfolk were hungry for hope and connection, but many had not yet heard the transformative message of Jesus.
Mark decided to gather a small group of friends in his living room, fueled by excitement and purpose. As they dove deep into the Scriptures, he shared stories of how the disciples had their own doubts yet responded wholeheartedly to the call of Jesus. He painted vivid pictures of lives changed through faith, and with each passing moment, the room filled with anticipation and energy.
Word spread, and soon they were on the verge of bigger gatherings—an entire congregation eager to hear the life-giving messages he was inspired to share. The ripple effect was undeniable; hearts began to stir, and a movement began to take shape, all rooted in the simple yet profound command to go forth and make disciples.
It wasn’t just about preaching; it was about building relationships, nurturing faith, and fostering community. Mark learned that when people feel connected and empowered, they’re more likely to share that light with others. His devotion to spreading this message resonated across the town, and lives transformed became the heartbeat of their growing community.
