Section 2. Call to Worship
Let’s turn our hearts toward God together. Today’s Call to Worship comes from Isaiah 63:7 – 9 – a passage that reminds us of God’s faithful love and personal presence in our lives.
Leader: I will tell of the kindnesses of the Lord,
People: the deeds for which He is to be praised!
Leader: In all their distress, He too was distressed.
People: In His love and mercy, He redeemed them.
All: He lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.
Let’s stand and sing together: “Great Is Thy Faithfulness.”
Section 3. Opening Prayer
Heavenly Father, we come before You this morning with grateful hearts. Thank You for bringing us together as Your family. As we worship, open our eyes to see Your goodness, our ears to hear Your voice, and our hearts to receive Your love. May everything we do today bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Section 4. Praise and Worship
What a joy it is to lift our voices together in worship! This morning, our worship team will lead us in songs that celebrate God’s faithfulness and love. Let’s pour out our adoration to the One who never fails us – the God who saves, sustains, and sings over us with joy.
Section 5. Scripture Reading
Today, we’re focusing on a passage from the book of Isaiah – chapter 63, verses 7 through 9. In these verses, the prophet reflects on God’s unwavering kindness and personal involvement in the lives of His people. It’s a powerful reminder that God doesn’t just watch from a distance – He enters into our stories, feels our pain, and carries us through.
Isaiah 63:7 – 9 (NIV)
7 I will tell of the kindnesses of the Lord, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the Lord has done for us – yes, the many good things he has done for Israel, according to his compassion and many kindnesses.
8 He said, “Surely they are my people, children who will be true to me”; and so he became their Savior.
9 In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.
Section 6. Pastoral Prayer or Intercessory Prayer
Let’s pray together:
Lord, we thank You for Your Word – alive, active, and filled with grace. As we reflect on Your kindness today, we lift up those who are walking through seasons of distress. Be near to the hurting, strengthen the weary, and remind each one of us that You are with us always. May Your church be a light of hope and compassion in our communities.
Congregational Response:
Your love, O Lord, endures forever. In our distress, You are near. We trust in You.
Section 7. Offering
Giving is an act of worship – a tangible way to honor God and support the work He’s doing through this church. As we give today, let’s do so with grateful hearts, remembering that everything we have comes from His hand.
Prayer of Thanksgiving:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your abundant provision. As we give back to You today, we ask that You use these gifts to advance Your kingdom, serve our community, and bring hope to those in need. May our giving be an act of worship that glorifies You. Amen.
Section 8. Special Music
We now have a special time of worship through music. Let’s open our hearts to receive as [Music Team/Singer’s Name] leads us in [Song Title].
