Section 2. Call to Worship

Focusing Our Hearts on God

This morning, as we prepare to worship, let’s turn our attention to the incredible grace of God. Psalm 95:1-3 says:

“Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods.”

As we lift our voices in praise, may our hearts be filled with gratitude for the Gospel—the good news that Jesus Christ has conquered sin and death!

Section 3. Opening Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for gathering us today in Your presence. We come before You with open hearts, eager to receive Your truth and grace. Lord, remind us of the power of the Gospel—the message that saves, transforms, and gives us eternal hope. May Your Spirit move in us today, drawing us closer to You and to one another. We dedicate this time of worship to You, for You alone are worthy of all praise. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Section 4. Praise and Worship

Lifting Our Voices in Praise

Let’s enter into a time of worship, lifting our hearts and voices to the One who has redeemed us! Whether through a joyful song of celebration or a reflective hymn of surrender, let’s give God our full attention and adoration. As we sing, let’s remember that worship isn’t just about music—it’s about a heart fully surrendered to Jesus.

Section 5. Scripture Reading

The Gospel That Saves

Today’s Scripture comes from 1 Corinthians 15:1-11, where Paul reminds the church in Corinth about the unshakable foundation of our faith—the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Paul boldly proclaims that this message is of first importance—it is the very Gospel that saves! He reminds us that it is not by our own efforts that we are saved, but by the grace of God alone.

1 Corinthians 15:1-11 (NIV)

1 Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand.
2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,
5 and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve.
6 After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.
7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles,
8 and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.
9 For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.
11 Whether, then, it is I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed.

Section 6. Pastoral Prayer or Intercessory Prayer

Prayer of Intercession

Father God, we come before You humbled by the power of the Gospel. We thank You for Your grace that changes lives and redeems the broken. Lord, we pray for those who have yet to believe—that their hearts would be softened to receive Your truth. We pray for those who are struggling, that they would be reminded of the hope found in Christ alone. And we ask that You use us as messengers of this Gospel, sharing Your love with the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Congregational Prayer Response

“Lord, let Your grace be at work in our lives, just as it was in Paul’s. Strengthen us to hold firmly to the Gospel, living as a testimony of Your love and power. Amen.”

Section 7. Offering

Giving as an Act of Worship

Giving is an act of worship—an opportunity to honor God with what He has entrusted to us. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says, “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Prayer of Thanks for the Offering

Heavenly Father, we give these tithes and offerings as an expression of our gratitude and trust in You. Use these gifts to build Your kingdom, bless those in need, and advance the Gospel. May we give with joyful and generous hearts, knowing that all we have comes from You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Section 8. Special Music or Presentation

A Song of Reflection

At this time, we will have a special song to remind us of the power of the Gospel—the message that saves, redeems, and restores. As we listen, let’s reflect on the grace of God that has transformed our lives.

The Story You’ve Never Heard About Grace, Transformation, and the Gospel That Changes Everything

Paul was the last person anyone expected to become a follower of Jesus. He wasn’t just indifferent—he was an enemy of the faith, a persecutor of Christians. If there was anyone beyond redemption, it was him.

Yet, something happened that no one saw coming.

On a road to Damascus, Paul encountered pure grace—not the kind of grace that merely forgives, but the kind that rebuilds a life from the ground up. The kind that turns a murderer into a missionary, a persecutor into a preacher, a sinner into a saint.

Fast forward, and Paul is writing to the Corinthians, reminding them of the only message that truly matters:

“By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you.” (1 Corinthians 15:2, NIV)

Think about that. Not just hear it. Not just agree with it. But HOLD FIRMLY to it.

Because the Gospel isn’t just about believing. It’s about becoming. It’s about transformation.

And that’s where you come in.
